Description
While it is easy for us to glorify the bravery of our soldiers, the reality is much more complex. Sacrifice, camaraderie, bravery, and a sense of duty are all layered into the experience of taking up arms. The compelling stories of brave young men and women have shaped the very boundaries of our world, the rights of our citizens, and the cultures and freedoms we all know today. Join Cantus on this exploration of bravery, duty and camaraderie in “No Greater Love Than This.” Known worldwide for their programmatic versatility, artistic variety and charismatic personality, Cantus is a vocal chamber ensemble that engages their audiences by working together to reach new levels of artistic innovation and excellence. Founded on the ideals of collaborative music-making, the group’s vision is to give voice to the shared human experience performing works such as classical, orchestral-vocal, folk, art song, popular songs, spirituals and newly commissioned pieces. As the only artist-led full-time classical vocal ensemble in the United States, they provide a unique live experience not to be missed.
