News TemplateAurora Regional Chamber of Commerce and Invest Aurora Launch Second Survey to Understand the Implications of Covid-19 Business Decisions

(AURORA, IL, September 8, 2020) – Today, the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce and Invest Aurora launched the Business Implications Survey, their second COVID-19 business survey. The survey will be open until Monday, September 21 with the analysis report of the survey findings released on Monday, October 5.

The Business Implications Survey is the latest in what will be a series of surveys aimed at measuring the impact and implications of COVID-19 on businesses across the Aurora region. With 524 total respondents, the first survey captured initial insights from businesses of all sizes, length in operation and across all industry sectors on challenges they faced as they looked to reopen and operate in the age of COVID-19. That survey resulted in the Business Impact of COVID-19 report, an analysis of the respondent data.

The Business Implications Survey, which builds upon the initial survey, will be open until Monday, September 21, 2020, with the analysis report of the survey findings released on Monday, October 5, 2020. Businesses from across the Aurora region are encouraged to take the survey. Those who participated in the first survey are encouraged to also take this new survey, however, participation in the first survey is not required to complete the second survey.

“How businesses in the Aurora region respond to the challenges the COVID-19 pandemic has created will undoubtedly shape the decade to come,” said Jessica Linder Gallo, president & CEO of the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce. “By conducting multiple surveys, we will be able to measure both the business impact and implication of COVID-19 over time. The information will help us all get a glimpse into what the future of business might look like in our region.”

“COVID-19 has caused serious economic disruption to business across the region,” said Bryan Gay, president & CEO of Invest Aurora. “Understanding the financial and operational decisions business have made is critical to pinpointing how alternative policy proposals might impact local business and regional employment resilience. This survey will go a long way toward helping us understand the next steps to support the business community.”
