The Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Waubonsee Community College, is proud to announce the return of an in-demand leadership session... Emerging Leader Institute!
Do you know colleagues who are highly contributing team members, early-career professionals or aspiring managers, team captains or entrepreneurs?
Emerging Leader Institute (ELI) is a one-of-a-kind approach to leadership development and personal growth. Understanding that effective leaders come in a variety of forms, this program is designed to identify, engage, and mentor talented professionals who have the disposition to lead and are interested in future leadership roles within their chosen profession.
This program will focus on essentials for emerging leaders including:
- Basic concepts of management
- Transitioning from super-worker to supervisor
- Effective communication for the front-line leader
- Leading teams and leveraging diversity
- Ethical decision making and problem solving
- Better practices in selecting and orienting new teammates
- Better practices in performance evaluation and progressive discipline
- Considerations of human resources issues
