2nd2None 5K Run & Walk benefitting Aurora Food Pantry & Communities In Schools

Help Support A Cause That's 2nd 2 None...

The Cause:  Good and adequate nutrition is extremely important to every school-aged child's ability to develop properly, stay healthy and learn well in school.  The Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry and Communities In Schools have initiated the Food for Thought program to help Aurora children at risk of hunger receive the food they need to grow and function to the best of their ability.
Many children are eligible for free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch during the school year.  Limited resources at home, however, can keep these children from obtaining adequate nourishment over the summer.  Through the Food for Thought program, CIS and the Pantry will provide food to families of 800 children who may be at risk of having inadequate access to food during the summer.

The Run:  The "Second to None 5K Run/Walk" will raise funds to support the on-going costs of the Food for Thought program and other CIS and Pantry programs which support the well-being of children in the community.  The route will pass through downtown Aurora, showing off some of the marvelous old architectural gems and exciting new projects under development, and finish along the beautiful Fox River Trail.

The Support:  Several levels of corporate sponsorships are available for the 2nd 2 None 5K, with opportunities for businesses to be promoted in a variety of ways.  In addition, sponsors will have the satisfaction of knowing they have helped to ensure that our students have the greatest chance to succeed in school.  Please call Marilyn at 630-897-2127 for further information about Corporate Sponsorships.
