The Amped Up Adventure Race series returns to Aurora for a second season and is scheduled for June 16 2013. A very exciting element to this year’s race is that it will be done in conjunction with Blues on the Fox helping to open the brand new RiverEdge Park in Downtown Aurora. The new park is going to provide an ideal backdrop and will showcase the tremendous natural assets that exist throughout the Fox Valley region blending into the re-energize downtown core that Aurora has developed.

The 2-3 hour adventure race will include paddling, running, biking and an urban obstacle course component. The 17 mile course includes a shaded route along the Fox River for runners, a bike ride through the beautiful and private Mooseheart Campus, and a brisk downstream paddle on the beautiful Fox River. This year the Obstacle course will be located at the brand new RiverEdge Park.  There will be four main competitive categories in the adventure race that individuals and teams can compete in: Amateur Division, Team Division, Youth Division and Pro Division. There will be pre and post race parties where participants can check-in beforehand, and relax afterwards. It’s time for you to get Amped Up and come and see for yourself what all the excitement is about!

The other Amped Up Adventure Races will be held in Rockford, IL on April 7 and Beloit, WI on May 11.
