Description
In 1995, as professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, Kay Redfield Jamison shocked her colleagues by going public with her own struggle with manic-depressiveness in a Washington Post article and subsequent best-selling book, “An Unquiet Mind.” Jamison has since become a trusted spokesperson for millions who suffer from mental illness. She addresses the clinical and personal realities of depression and bipolar disorder in a manner that encourages dialogue, empathy and hope.
