Join us for a Black Business Spotlight event celebrating Black entrepreneurship, innovation, and excellence in our community. Hosted at Latrice Murphy Design & Photography Studio, this dynamic morning gathering will highlight local Black-owned businesses through storytelling, business spotlights, and meaningful networking.

Attendees will hear directly from featured entrepreneurs as they share their business journeys, challenges, successes, and lessons learned. The event also will include opportunities for business pitches, collaboration, and connection with fellow professionals, creatives, and community leaders.

This event is designed to:

• Foster intentional networking and collaboration.

• Create visibility and economic opportunity.

• Strengthen community connections.

Whether you are a business owner, aspiring entrepreneur, supporter, or community partner, this spotlight offers a powerful space to connect, learn, and grow together.

About the Host Business: Latrice Murphy Design & Photography Studio

Latrice Murphy is a portrait photographer specializing in senior portraits, headshots, and branding photography based in Aurora, Illinois. Her studio is where confidence gets built, stories get told, and people realize they look way better than they think they do.

She is an award-winning, published photographer and a proud member of Professional Photographers of America. She started in architecture and design, earned a Master’s in Elementary Education, and somehow landed in photography where she gets to use all of it: design for the sets, teaching for the people in front of the camera, and creativity for everything in between.

She believes showing up as yourself is way more powerful than pretending to be perfect. Now, she gets to do what she loves most: capturing emotion, connection, and those blink-and-you-miss-it moments that end up meaning everything.
