Get ready for an exciting week when you enroll in Camp Naper summer day camp at Naper Settlement. Each fun and educational camp is a great value, close to home!
New! Archaeology: Uncovering the Past
During this new adventure, campers can dig up the past as they explore the field of archaeology by digging, sifting and examining artifacts, mapping locations and exploring with a GPS unit. Discover how ancient peoples lived through fun, hands-on activities. Grades 3-6
Treasure Hunters
Hunt for hidden treasures from the past to the present using clues, maps, compasses, puzzles, secret codes and high-tech GPS devices. Each day will be an exciting and challenging learning adventure throughout our 12-acre village. Grades 1-6
T.H.E. Detectives Treasure Hunters Extreme
Solve intriguing mysteries and puzzles from the past as a summer sleuth in this creative, action-packed camp. Supplied with a detective's notebook, magnifying glass and a GPS system, the camp detectives will search for clues and examine evidence during this extreme summer camp experience. Grades 1-6
Secret Seekers
Explore behind-the-scenes places on the museum grounds and at offsite locations. Take a historic trolley ride around downtown and visit the museum's amazing collections facility! Explore the historic quarry on a paddleboat ride, learn what's in the Mansion's basement, and discover hidden places in downtown shops. Get a special guided tour of the Masonic Lodge, geocache on the Riverwalk and solve a history mystery at the North Central College archives. Grades 3-6
Camp Fort Payne: Civil War Encampment
Live the life of a Civil War soldier! This exciting camp immerses participants in a fun and educational experience. Drill in the way soldiers fought, learn about camp life, cook over the open fire, understand the hardships soldiers endures and participate in activities that transform history into reality. This unique hands-on camp inclues overnight camping in Fort Payne on the second day of camp (with an option for a parent to join the fun). Grades 6-8

Camps run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Civil War Encampment has special hours, which can be found on the camp flier. Please register for the grade your child will be entering in August of 2012.
