Description
Commemorate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War (1861-1865) when celebrated artist and history enthusiast Jim Weren presents, "The Civil War In General," at Naper Settlement's Pre-Emption House Visitor Center. Using his illustrations as a centerpiece, Weren provides an intriguing look at the unique and colorful group of men who commanded the battlefields of the American Civil War. Admission is free. This program is made possible in part by a grant from the Illinois Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Illinois General Assembly.
