The Loaves & Fishes Chef Showdown event is back, and once again it promises to be an electrifying culinary experience! Community participants are invited to enter the playing field and witness local chefs from two revered restaurants go head-to-head in a thrilling–and delicious–culinary battle! Within a one-hour period, these culinary virtuosos will create scrumptious three-course masterpieces under the discerning gaze of a distinguished panel of judges.

Utilizing the freshest ingredients sourced from Loaves & Fishes’s very own market, the competition is set within the heart of our Aurora warehouse, which will be expertly transformed into a unique kitchen. To add to the fun, each culinary artist will be joined by two renowned “celebrity sous chefs,” thus adding some star power to an already glamorous lineup!

On the night of Thursday, April 17, from 6-9 p.m., attendees should prepare to be amazed by the talented head chefs from Entourage and Mesón Sabika. The following sous chefs will accompany the esteemed chefs: Adam Fuchs of Wintrust Commercial Banking, Kristen Refness of Endeavor Health, Karen Wells of Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Dustin Wilson of Duly Health & Care. While watching the hot rivalry, guests will be treated to an array of delicious delights from My Chef Catering, ensuring an unforgettable experience from start to finish!

The three-course masterpieces that will be created by the Entourage and Mesón Sabika teams will be critiqued by a panel of judges from the community: Chef Alonso Beckford from The Matrix Club, John Diederich from Rush Copley Medical Center, Dr. Susana Rivera-Mills from Aurora University, and Scott Wehrli, Mayor of the City of Naperville.

Chef Showdown is more than just a culinary competition–this event helps Loaves & Fishes raise funds for struggling individuals and families within our community.
