The Career and Technical Education Departments of Indian Prairie School District 204 are excited to offer an opportunity for girls to explore the career fields of Engineering and Computer Science. As part of this initiative, we invite professionals to join us at a Coffee with Professionals Kick-Off event at Waubonsie Valley High School on Tuesday, January 26th @ 8:00 am. The Coffee with Professionals event includes an overview of Engineering and Computer Science course opportunities in District 204, a showcase of various programs and special projects, and the opportunity for students, teachers, and professionals to engage in collaborative discussions. The ultimate goal of this initiative, funded by IPSD STEM grants, is to expose students to career opportunities in these in-demand fields of study. During the semester, we hope to provide students with site tours of local organizations, job shadowing with professionals, and a summer project based internship. Coffee with Professionals - Agenda 1.
