Join author and noted garden designer, Karen Chapman, for a beautiful presentation on creating exciting combinations for containers using fabulous foliage. Her new book Fine Foliage will be available for purchase and Karen will be available to sign copies after the talk.

11am – 12pm – Get Inspired!

Visit our greenhouses and experience the signs of spring. Talk with our designers to get ideas. View our demonstration vignettes for fresh ideas in container design. Grab a treat and a cup of coffee!

12 pm – Ask the Experts: Designing with Containers

The Growing Place designers will build on Karen Chapman’s presentation, demonstrating the process of creating a striking focal point with your front entry. We’ll discuss color combinations, working in scale with your home, creating a personal style and changing plant displays with the seasons.

1 pm – Make and Take: Magical Miniature Containers, cost of materials

Build a tiny garden in a container with a variety of houseplants, miniature accents, fairies, gnomes and more. We’ll show you how much fun it can be to bring the garden down in scale. Make your own or just watch! Cost of materials.
