Fantastic Fall Celebration at The Growing Place Garden Center in Naperville and Aurora
The Growing Place Garden Centers are celebrating the arrival of autumn with a pair of festivals that feature hands-on activities, music, food and refreshments and guest speakers, according to The Growing Place Co-owner, Carol Massat.
"On September 20 & 21 the whole family is invited to join the fun celebrating the harvest at our Fall Fest in Aurora," says Massat. "Both Saturday and Sunday we'll be offering hayrides, pumpkin painting, crafts, games, kettle corn, and tasty donuts and smoothies from Dick's Mini Donuts."
Saturday's children's activities include a moon jump and traditional folk music from the Dona Benkhert Trio from 1-5pm. Children are encouraged to join in the musical fun. Sunday's activities include pony rides from 12-4pm. Adults can partake in fall fun too. Both Saturday and Sunday The Growing Place is offering a Make & Take Fall Wreath, Container or Door Swag workshop from 11am-1pm. The cost is $49 for a wreath or container and $39 to create a swag.
