Description
Long description: “Moderato Cantabile” (1960) is based on the best-selling novel by Marguerite Duras. French screen icons Jeanne Moreau and Jean-Paul Belmondo star in this atmospheric drama about a bored housewife who becomes the indirect witness to a murder. Moreau won the award for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for this role. Short description An industrialist’s wife finds herself bored by her opulent existence. One day, she hears a woman scream at a nearby bistro. She then sees a man being hauled away from a woman’s body. Her curiosity piqued, she becomes a regular at the cafe.
