The Growing Place Garden Center in Naperville is hosting its annual Gardener's Art Festival on Saturday, June 21, 9am to 5pm. The free event features more than 40 garden artists, live music, refreshments and educational presentations throughout the day covering a wide range of topics, according to The Growing Place co-owner, Carol Massat.

"At 10am, we're pleased to present our featured speaker, landscape designer Karma Groteleuschen. Karma will present her enthusiastic approach to artistically merging home and garden design. Adding to the festival atmosphere, throughout the day garden artists will be selling a wide variety of garden related art, including handmade accents for your garden, ceramics and other accents for your home, and even jewelry and clothing for yourself," says Massat. 

During the day, members of the Nature Artists Guild of the Morton Arboretum will be painting and drawing in the garden center's Learning Gardens.

The day's full schedule of talks relate to the artistic nature of gardening: 

10am: Artistic Design for the Home Garden with Landscape Designer and Artist, Karma Grotelueschen

11am: Weave a tapestry garden with fabulous foliage

12pm: Beautiful vegetable herbs for your garden and table

1pm: Shimmer, shine and sparkle in the garden

2pm: Pretty, long blooming plants for beautiful gardens
