Description
Retreat from the rush of everyday concerns to this evening designed to inform and refresh. Through clear and compelling stories, informative slides, music, and imagery, women of various heritages will share the emotional and physical heart break of heart attack. You will become an interactive participant creating a picture of heart health tailored just for you. Share feminine wisdom and understand the
mind-body-spirit connection when one?s biography becomes one?s biology.
The content of The Heart of A Woman includes:
Stories of women?s emotional and physical heart break
Understanding the link between emotional and physical health
Signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke
Struggle to change behavior and thoughts
Prevention: physical activity, diet, blood pressure awareness
Heart Strength?new understandings of choice and empowerment
Heart Health?Exploring components of wise living, communication, and glad spirit
Refreshments will be served.
Presenter: Deedee Van Dyke is an educator, healthcare professional and board certified chaplain. She has facilitated workshops on health and spirituality, and is also a cardiac patient and survivor!
