Both The Growing Place Garden Centers will host family-oriented events to celebrate the creative world of miniature gardening. Festivities at the Naperville store are on Saturday, June 7, 9am-5pm. The event moves to The Growing Place, Aurora on Sunday, June 8, 11am-5pm, according to The Growing Place co-owner, Carol Massat.

At both locations visitors will be welcomed into the tiny, magical world of fairies and gnomes. Children can visit the Fairy Boutique and Gnome Haberdashery to make fairy and gnome attire, stop in the Fairy Beauty Shop for face painting and enjoy tiny treats in The Fairy Tea Room. Events include workshops where children and adults can build their own miniature homes, plant miniature gardens, or just enjoy the display gardens and the festival atmosphere. At 3pm on Sunday, the Aurora location will organize a special parade of children dressed as fairies and gnomes.
