Meijer Creates Sweepstakes For The Ultimate Female Hockey Fan
Hockey season is well underway and for hockey fans, the winter season is all about the ice, and in Chicago, that’s the Blackhawks. To help the female fans get in the spirit of the sport, Meijer, the original “one-stop shopping” superstore, and the Chicago Blackhawks have teamed up to offer a sweepstakes, exclusive to women, in which 25 lucky winners (plus their guest), will be invited to participate in Hockey 101.
Entries to join the Hockey 101 Contest are being accepted at all of the Chicagoland Meijer locations, beginning Sunday, February 21, 2010, and continuing through March 6, 2010.
The Hockey 101 Package includes:
• A hockey clinic hosted by the Blackhawks Director of Youth Hockey, Anne Camins, and a former player and current play-by-play announcer for the Blackhawks, Eddie Olczyk. The clinic will take place at a Meijer retail store location, as determined by the Chicago Blackhawks and Meijer;
• A Chicago Blackhawks gift bag;
