Description
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a directive, client-centered counseling style for eliciting behavior change by helping clients to explore and resolve ambivalence. The first workshop of the series will briefly review and define basic principles of MI. It is intended to re-introduce participants to MI skills proceeding directly into Intermediate MI skills. It will include interactive exercises to help participants anchor these skills. The first seminar will provide a solid base for the second seminar on advanced MI skills.
