Women in Leadership:
Stories of the power of women leaders redefining
their role in the world and pressing onward with their passion.
Join us for networking and inspiration at the first event of a three part Women in Leadership series at the Women In Leadership luncheon. The afternoon will feature compelling speakers sharing their stories of progress, success, and renaissance and on Friday, February 11, 2011.

State Representative Kay Hatcher
State Representative Kay Hatcher currently represents the residents of the 50th state legislative district which covers communites in Kane, Kendall, eastern LaSalle counties. She has received corporate communications training at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.
She has also been external affairs director for SBC Communications, and senior marketing director for Senior Services Associates of Crystal Lake, and has served on many local, area, or state civic, business, social service, and women’s organization boards.
She is the founder and owner of Reputation Management, Inc. (a media management, planning, and marketing firm).
In 2004-05 she was the state president of the Illinois Federation of Republican Women, and a member of the national board of the National Federation of Republican Women.
She is currently on the board of governors of Illinois Lincoln Series, which trains prospective Republican women political leaders.
Susan Kendall
Over the past 25 years Susan Kendall has provided professional leadership and executive management expertise and experience in her executive role with several Girl Scout councils in Kansas and Illinois. In her capacity as CEO, she spent two years working on the successful merger of four councils in northern Illinois.
Susan has since started her own organizational management consulting and project management service. SK Affiliates offers a variety of services to maximize an organization's potential. Susan and her daughter have started, www.auroranightout.com, to provide the residents in the Aurora Fox Valley area a website with dining out and evening entertainment opportunities.
Networking with a variety of professionals in not for profit, public and private organizations, Susan has learned we are as much alike as we are unique.
Dr. Oki Villarreal
Dr. Villarreal is a graduate of the highly regarded Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, IA that was started by, and bears the name of, chiropractic’s founding father D.D. Palmer. Dr. Villarreal received extensive training and a second-to-none education at PCC, while successfully completing a wide variety of courses covering chiropractic techniques, science and health related disciplines, as well as extensive physical therapy and rehabilitation techniques. While attending PCC, she also worked as an Imaging Specialist where she gained invaluable experience analyzing x-ray and MRI films to aid in the diagnosis and chiropractic care of affected patients. Dr. Villarreal also completed additional training by participating in extra-curricular courses that covered specialized chiropractic techniques that provide her with a broad array of “Chiropractic Tools” to use in the diagnosis and complete care of her patients.
Dr. Villarreal worked as a volunteer doctor at Palmer’s Outreach Clinic in an attempt to provide care for the less fortunate who did not have the access or means to proper health care. She also participated in a 10 day Clinic Abroad trip to Garopaba, Brazil to provide care to a population that is underserved in terms of healthcare options.
Prior to attending PCC, Dr. Villarreal received her BSEE from the University of Illinois at Chicago and worked for Tellabs for 7 years. One of her last projects was installing the first OC-192 fiber optic ring around the island of Puerto Rico.
Dr. Villarreal is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Illinois Prairie State Chiropractic Association and the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce.
