Description
YWCA Aurora welcomes you to a special luncheon celebrating inspirational acts of leadership and activism with keynote speaker Sheryl WuDunn, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and co-author of the New York Times bestselling "Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide."
WuDunn will share with us the challenges facing women around the globe and her own efforts to end the oppression of women and girls.
"Half the Sky" was has been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Colbert Report and many other network television shows. In 2011, Newsweek cited WuDunn as one of the "150 Women Who Shake the World."
A book signing will follow the presentation.
