Business Need / Purpose of Role:
The target of the position is to ensure the day-to-day administration support of HR department.
Objectives & Measurement
Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:
  • Assist in HR projects, events, benefits open enrollment, employee communications and company-wide meetings.
  • Compile and prepare data for statistical reporting.
  • Support employment area with scheduling interviews, handling reference checks and personnel changes.
  • Post job ads on relevant platforms to hire appropriate candidates.
  • Help HR manager in finding prospective temporary staff at contract agencies.
  • Provide overall administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining, processing documentation and records.
  • Administration of attendance policy, process weekly attendance corrective actions, provide employee records to Managers and Supervisors.
  • Coordinates and schedules employment screenings
  • Handles employment forms, & assist with new hire orientation
  • Issuing of employee timecards, fobs & timesheet reporting
  • Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Serve as point of contact with benefit vendors and administrators.
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Ensure & maintain employee/employer confidentiality

  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related (essential).
  • 2 years of experience as an HR assistant (essential).
  • Well-versed in staffing information, organizing interviews, and performing other administrative tasks to ensure HR efficiency.
  • Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Solid computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Very effective organizational skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish) speaking/reading/writing is a plus

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $30,000 - $50,000
