Summary:
The Volunteer Coordinator at 580 Exchange will oversee the volunteers performing the daily activities at the Hub. This cheerful, approachable coordinator will have the ability to clarify activity duties and problem solve with volunteers and leaders. This job holds great variety and frequent pivots to other work responsibilities. A positive outlook and ability to cheerfully interact with our incredible volunteers is required. This is a job for an energetic “people” person!
Reports to: Assistant VP of Volunteer Engagement
Status: Full-time, hourly
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage fulfillment of activity shifts, via Better Impact software, email or phone
- Assistance with volunteer special events
- Coordination of Outreach and Recruitment of Bi-lingual English/Spanish volunteers
- Assistance with video training and education about volunteer roles
- Weekly posting on Volunteer Facebook page
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills and Spanish bi-lingual
- Computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Flexibility to work some evenings and a monthly Saturday
- Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail
- Well-groomed appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to actively move, lift and demonstrate volunteer roles
