The City of Aurora is accepting applications for seasonal job positions for the Phillips Park Golf Course.

A Golf Seasonal Worker will function in any of the following categories. The Golf Shop Sales Associate/Players Assistant/Driving Range Attendant will assist with the daily management of play, practice facilities, golf cart fleet management and any other duties assigned. This position reports to Golf Management. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides superior customer service and assistance to guests
  • Becomes versed in POS system and cash handling procedures, sales, returns and opening and closing of golf shop
  • Opens and closes golf clubhouse
  • Verify payment of golf fees
  • Starting tee management
  • Manage and enforce course pace of play policies
  • Assist in set-up of tournaments and outings
  • Inform golfers of golf course policies
  • Stage golf carts for daily play
  • Maintain practice facilities and golf cart fleet daily
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintains a professional image
  • Monitor safety of golf patrons 



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns as needed
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Ability to learn golf etiquette
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment


Must be able to pass a drug screen, background investigation, and polygraph assessment as needed.
