Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce Jointly Launches New All In Initiative for Economic Recovery

Initiative urges Illinois Legislature to provide additional economic relief for businesses

(AURORA, IL, APRIL 30, 2021) – The Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to jointly launch the new initiative Chambers All In for Economic Recovery alongside nearly 50 chambers from across the state of Illinois. The Aurora Regional Chamber’s mission is to be the catalyst for business success in the Aurora region, and together with our fellow chambers, we support our business communities and help ensure that businesses can thrive for years to come.

Representing over 13,000 businesses and 580,000 employees, the chamber coalition calls for the Illinois Legislature to prioritize economic relief for Illinois' business community. The coalition’s platform includes various recommendations to help bring about short- and long-term relief to businesses. The recommendations include:
  • Aid businesses' bottom line
  • Recovery from the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Establish pathways for constructive collaboration with the public sector
“While vaccinations across the state are bringing much needed progress for our business community, there continues to be mounting challenges to operating as a business in the age of COVID-19,” said Jessica Linder Gallo, President & CEO of the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Many businesses in our communities and across the state are still in need of financial relief—sales continue to be down for many and for others the costs of public safety technology and changes in operations has taken a toll. As a chamber, we will continue to stand by and for our business community as they are the key to economic recovery for all.”

Though the Chambers All In for Economic Recovery initiative, the chamber across Illinois will be meeting with legislators and local government entities, and engaging with members and the business community. This initiative is a follow-up to a 2020 All In social media campaign that encouraged the use of health and safety practices to keep businesses open.
