LEADERSHIP ACADEMY: BETTER THAN EVER AND MORE ACCESSIBLE!
The Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce (ARCC) Leadership Academy is offered to representatives of member businesses and organizations and community members. It is designed to prepare a select group of qualified candidates for future leadership roles in the Aurora area.Since 2021, the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Academy program has been revised and improved. Participants have the opportunity to:
- LEARN about major organizations in the Aurora region through a field trip based model
- EXAMINE and consider the mature and demanding model of "Servant Leadership"
- HEAR community leaders share their personal leadership philosophy and practices
- AFFECT a gigantic leap in their personal and professional networks.
This 2024 Leadership Academy again will be facilitated by Dr. William A. "Bill" Marzano, retired higher education administrator with Waubonsee Community College, former college and university professor, and former Human Resources executive. Due to popular demand, both a Spring and a Fall session of Leadership Academy will be offered in 2024.
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY LINEUP
The schedule consists of thirty hours of class time over the course of ten sessions plus an orientation/introduction session and a graduation luncheon. The Leadership Academy will focus on the personal and professional development of the participants with a strong emphasis on leadership development.

HISTORY
Established in 1979, the Aurora Chamber's Leadership Academy has a rich history of providing confidence, knowledge, professionalism, and strong leadership skills that not only benefit the attendee, but also their employers. The goal is simple: to create a development opportunity for participants to serve and enhance themselves, their employers, and the community.
Over the past 44 years, more than 900+ community leaders have participated in the program. Many have gone on to lead local businesses and organizations. Some have gone on to public office. All have contributed to the community and the general good.
