AURORA DOWNTOWN COCOA CRAWL ON SALE NOV 3

DOWNTOWN AURORA - Aurora Downtown will once again have mugs flowing with hot cocoa throughout downtown. The downtown organization will host the fifth annual Cocoa Crawl on December 1 as part of its popular First Fridays events. Mugs and buttons needed to participate will go on sale November 3 at select downtown locations.

To participate in the hot cocoa sampling during December’s First Fridays events, patrons will be required to have an official Cocoa Crawl mug and a new button for this year. The button acts as a ticket to the event. Buttons are not required for ages 12 and under. Official Cocoa Crawl mugs from previous years can be used, however a new button for $10 will be needed in addition to the mug.

This year, a red snow globe to-go mug is being sold for $18, or $20 with a button, at the following locations: Aurora Historical Society, Aurora Regional Fire Museum, G.A.R. Military Museum, Society 57, Renew Salon and Spa, and Wyckwood House.

The mugs and buttons will sell quickly, and it is recommended that they be purchased prior to the event as they sell out every year.

“We have about 30 participating locations each year. It has become a fun holiday tradition for friends and families,” said Marissa Amoni, interim event director for Aurora Downtown.

Cocoa Crawl participating locations will provide samples of hot cocoa to event participants on December 1. There is no cost to attend First Fridays, however to participate in the Cocoa Crawl portion of the evening, a mug and button are required.
