The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk, to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional- Bilingual Child & Adolescent Licensed or licensed pending Behavioral Health who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.

$1,000 Sign-on Bonus

What you will be doing?

  • Responsible for the provision of counseling and case management services to a caseload of primarily child or adolescent clients who are diagnosed with mental illness. Therapists are expected to work with a team of behavioral health service providers within the agency.
  • This job position may have some work components that can be performed remotely. Remote work arrangements are not a right or entitlement of employment. They are discretionary and subject to demonstrated performance and operational needs. Approval may be rescinded at any time at the sole discretion of management.
  • Attendance at scheduled work hours including evening hours
  • Provide effective individual, couples, family, group counseling for adults or children.
  • Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules
  • Provide case management services as medically necessary
  • Complete required documentation (IM+CANS, documentation including encounters, consents) on a timely basis
  • Meet minimum service provision/billing standards.
  • Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
  • Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
  • Fluent use of written and verbal Spanish and English

What will you bring to the table?
  • Education: Master’s degree in a human services field
  • License/certifications: LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW (Preferred)
  • Experience: Some clinical experience with children or adolescents (Required).
  • Skills: Fluent verbal and written Spanish and English
What are the other requirements?
  • Schedule and conduct treatment planning meetings as necessary
  • Obtain input from consumers and other stakeholders on how to improve service provision
  • Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor
  • Maintain a positive professional working relationship with agencies and other stakeholders
  • Maintain a positive professional working relationship with coworkers
  • Assist clients in maintaining public entitlements as necessary
  • Participate in agency committees as assigned
  • Provide outreach services to clients who are unable or unwilling to engage in office-based services.
